Training Level 2

-
Have been consistent with Therapy Discharge Exercise Program/TheGoodLifePT Program - frequency, reps, sets, weight, etc 75% or more for 1+ months.
Rates recovery from injury/surgery at 90% or higher (if applicable).
Can perform daily tasks without limitation or compensation (100% “normal”).
Are working at full capacity (full duty, full schedule, no remaining restrictions)
Have resumed hobbies/sport within remaining restrictions (per Physician), but you may have symptoms that still occur that have to be managed. Overall, you’ve been able to consistently participate/perform at least short bouts of this activity and you’re enjoying it again.
Joint Movement: 90% of normal or better throughout entire body.
Strength: Warrants a gross grade of 4/5 or better throughout entire body (I’ll explain strength grades to you).
Flexibility/Mobility: Almost “normal” from head to toe, but you may still have areas of restriction - 75% normal or better.
Knowledge Base: You can independently state or explain the rest/activity balance, general anatomy (major muscle groups) and a basic understanding of the exercise variables (sets, reps, tempo, volume, rest break, etc).
Actively pursuing your Joy: You’ve put some thought into this… you have declared something that genuinely brings you joy - a dream, an activity, etc that you lose track of time while doing and feel rejuvenated afterwards (besides your exercise program). At least 1 time per week for 4 consecutive weeks.
Social Contribution: You have volunteered your time in some way for 1+ hour(s) per month.
You demonstrate optimal body mechanics with fundamental movement patterns x 10 reps:
Squat (Bodyweight)
8” Step-Up (Bodyweight)
8” Step-Down (Bodyweight)
Lunge (Bodyweight)
Pick-Up (15% Bodyweight)
Press (15% Bodyweight - Machine)
Row (15% Bodyweight - Machine)
Overhead Press (10% Bodyweight - Machine)
If you have a chronic or permanent condition/limitation such as a surgery/injury leaving symptoms not likely to change, these criteria may be modified while keeping your full potential in mind.
