You are at Level 1 if any of the following are true:

  • You currently have symptoms of or have been diagnosed with a condition that warrants formal therapy (treated by a Therapist in a medical clinic)

  • You are under the care of a Therapist if at all possible - this will always be my recommendation. I will work with you during this phase within your Therapist’s plan of care.

  • If therapy is not an option for you, I will work with you, but I will not treat you as I would as a therapist - I just simply cannot perform all of the treatment methods as a Personal Trainer, as I would as a Therapist. Your best option at this level is to seek formal therapy and then continue with me once discharged.

    • Have been discharged from formal therapy.

    • Rate your recovery at 75% or more (100% defined as state prior to the condition you were being treated for, by your therapist).

    • Can perform daily routine tasks with mild symptoms remaining.

    • Plan to return to work within 1 month if you’ve been off due to this condition.

    • Begin to return to hobbies/sport within remaining recommended restrictions (Physician/Therapist).

    • Receive your Physician’s blessing to begin a guided exercise program (I can help with this if needed - advocate for continued professional guidance).

  • If you have a chronic or permanent condition/limitation such as a surgery/injury leaving symptoms not likely to change, these criteria may be modified while keeping your full potential in mind.
